24 December 2004: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Online-Assault gaming community. Hope to see you on the servers over the holiday. There should also be some more updates to the website over the course of the next few days.

23 December 2004: We've changed our domain name! In view of the wider selection of game titles and game modes now played by the community, we felt that www.online-assault.com was too specific. We have therefore moved to the new name of www.online-assault.com. Please update your bookmarks with the new address.

22 December 2004: We have decided to focus on four permanent servers, supplemented by a weekly MoH Pacific Assault event every Wednesday evening from 19:30 on IP address 212.42.16.80:13203.

3 December 2004: We liked the re-vamped Counter-Strike Source so much we have added a server called Multiplay.co.uk :: CS Source on IP address 212.42.16.80:27702. The game comes bundled with Half-Life 2 (an excellent sequel to one of the all time greats). Counter-Strike Source offers new exciting gameplay and an alternative to the WW2 setting we have tradionally favoured. That said, we are looking forward to Day of Defeat being given the source engine treatment.

3 December 2004: The latest full memberships are 1000 yard stare, daniel, david(scot), hbxov, .magoo., Mammasboy, Mr Friendly, Mr Rincewind, Bartman, stephan, tross, Stal, W.K.D. and welcome back to Incom and Rev after a break. And a fond farewell to dazman32 who has emigrated to the US of A. Glad to have you on board, guys. The Community page will be updated shortly.

2 December 2004: MoH Pacific Assault has finally arrived and thankfully the full release is less demanding on system resources than the demo was. We've set up an Invader mode server called Multiplay.co.uk :: MoH DeathMatch PA on IP address 212.42.16.80:13203. There have been a number of server drop-outs in the last few days, which Multiplay have accredited to unstable server software. They are liasing with EA technical support to address these issues. Please bear with us.

12 September 2004: Please note that we have now returned to our normal IP addresses (as shown below):

MoH Breakthrough has changed back to 212.42.16.80:27000
CoD Rifles Only has changed back to 212.42.16.80:27300

Apologies for all of the changes, lagginess and drop-outs over the last couple of weeks. Whilst there still appear to be some technical issues with the hardware, server performance has returned to normal. We are liaising with Multiplay to try and get the outstanding issues resolved.

31 August 2004: Please note that the IP address of our Multiplay servers have been changed due to technical problems. We understand this change will only be temporary whilst the problems are resolved.

MoH Breakthrough has changed to 212.42.16.42:29162
CoD Rifles Only has changed to 212.42.16.42:29061

Check back here for more information.

30 August 2004: Check it out! We have a new server up and running for Call of Duty custom maps. The server address is 212.159.6.205:28961 and features custom maps exclusively, together with CKR 1.4 realism. The current map rotation includes Amberville, Bellicourt, Stanjel (BFE), Destroyed Village (Snow), Windmills, Second Coming, Falaise, Wolf Square, Townville, Berlin (Spearhead), Saint Lo and Berlin (conversion). All of these maps rock and are available in a single mappack download here.

Please note that It is important to disable auto-download in your multiplayer options. Otherwise you will not be able to join the server (as syncing has been disabled server side to avoid having to have the CKR 1.4 mod client side).

16 July 2004: We've had ten additions since March, namely Apoch, CaptWinchester, Daffy Duck, Cpl Punishment, imort, Micah1, Phillydog, $lim$h@dy, TheChosenFew and uziblaster. Community page updated. Glad to have you on board, guys.

16 July 2004: Apologies for the lack of updates since March, but I've been very busy and not had chance to keep the website up to date. It has been necessary to close down the Spearhead because of the high server load but the Breakthrough and Call of Duty servers are still going strong :)

14 March 2004: Welcome to the latest batch of additions to the community, namely Graf Koks, interox, Winchester, Xaval Fofinho and xeV1Lb0Bx. Community page updated. Glad to have you on board, guys.

15 February 2004: We'd like to apologies for any disruption or inconvenience caused by some of the recent server resets, downtime and re-configuration. These have been due to teething problems with the new game hosting company but I am pleased to report that these seem to be getting resolved.

15 February 2004: We now have a Spearhead server up and running in addition to the existing Breakthrough and Call of Duty servers. Provided the server hardware can handle all three game sessions without any performance issues, Sprearhead will remain a permanent fixture.

Name: MoH DeathMatch SH (www.online-assault.com)
Game: Spearhead
Slots: 24 (22 public and 2 private)
IP address: 212.42.16.80:27100.

Please update your .cfg files, in-game browsers and All Seeing Eye client software for those of you who use it).

14 February 2004: We have just introduced the PRM realism mod (version 3.5) to the Call of Duty server. This will increase realism significantly and limit the number of snipers to each side to just one.

31 January 2004: Great news. Thanks to contributions from many members of the MoH DeathMatch community, we have upgraded from a Multiplay ClanServer to a Dedicated Server Pro. This gives us the flexibility to run two concurrent high-performance 24-slot server sessions. This has meant yet another IP address change though, hopefully the last for some considerable time:

Name: MoH DeathMatch BT (www.online-assault.com)
Game: Breakthrough
Slots: 24 (22 public and 2 private)
IP address: 212.42.16.80:27000.

Name: CoD Public (CKR No Snipers)
Game: Call of Duty
Slots: 24 (22 public and 2 private)
IP address: 212.42.16.80:27300.

Please update your .cfg files, in-game browsers and All Seeing Eye client software for those of you who use it).

30 January 2004: Standard Maps page updated with a Breakthrough map profile for Monte Cassino. The Community page has also been updated.
DribbleSack

23 January 2004: The MoH DeathMatch server has been successfully migrated to a Multiplay server. The new IP address is 212.42.16.61:27000. The server name is the same as before, i.e. MoH DeathMatch (www.online-assault.com).
DribbleSack

19 January 2004: We will be migrating to Multiplay server later this week, following the closure of GameNet game hosting services. The new IP address will be posted here as soon as it is known.
DribbleSack

12 January 2004: We are running a no-sniping trial for a month. This is in part to encourage the use of rifles but also to determine how the game dynamics are affected by removing the sniper weapon class. Once the results of the trial have been evaluated a decision will be made about whether or not to allow sniping in the future.

11 January 2004: Standard Maps page updated with Breakthrough map profiles for Bologna, Kasserine and Palermo. Other updates include the Community page.

2 January 2004:
GameNet recently announced the surprising news that they are shutting down their online gaming services with effect from 23 January 2004. We are in the process of finding an alternative hosting company which can offer the same level of reliability and performance. This will inevitably result in yet another IP address change. Keep checking this page for the latest developments.

1 January 2004:
Happy New Year to all the community members and visitors to the MoH DeathMatch server.
