2003: Configuration
page updated. The server is now running the recently released 2.4
patch. You will need to install this patch to play the two new maps,
Bizerte Festung and Stuckguter (you can download it
from here).
Some players have reported incidents of 'sharking'. However, this
appears to be a compatibility issue, only affecting those players
who have not updated to 2.4.

2003: Remember, from Monday, the server will switch to using
the Breakthrough engine, rotating a mix of Allied Assault,
Spearhead and Breakthrough maps. Additionally, a custom
map rotation will be run each Saturday evening and an all-day Call
of Duty rotation will be run on Thursdays and Sundays.

2003: Over the coming weeks the Standard
Maps page will be updated with Breakthrough map profiles.
We've started with the Anzio
map. If you fancy yourself as a reviewer why not submit your own
map profile for a Breakthrough map which has yet to be covered.
E-mail your submissions using the standard table template (in .txt
.doc or .html format) with three screenshots to admin@online-assault.com.
If it is good enough it will be posted up on the site (n.b. reviews
have are already been assigned for Bizerte Harbor, Castello
and Palermo).

2003: The server has now been migrated from a BarryServer
to a Game.Net server. Apologies for
any inconvenience this has caused but things seems to be back to
normal, with the added bonus of 24 client slots (22 public and 2
private).
The branding prefix has been dropped to reinforce the independent
status of the server, resulting in the name MoH
DeathMatch (www.online-assault.com). The new IP address
is 213.221.175.133. Please note
that the port number will vary depending on which game is being
hosted, i.e. for Medal of Honor games it will be 29960
but for Call of Duty it will be 24960.
Please update your config files, in-game browser , GameSpy and ASE
settings as required.

2003: As the server is likely to start running a mix of Allied
Assault/Spearhead/Breakthrough and Call of
Duty rotations (on different days) we are looking for a new
name for the server and the website. Submit your suggestions to
admin@online-assault.com.
The successful name will need to be relevant, sound cool and be
available for registration as a domain name. Get your thinking caps
on!

2003: Following the acquisition of BarrysWorld
by Game, all BarryServers
are in the process of being re-branded as Game.Net
servers. This will result in a name change for the server at some
point over the weekend and - most likely - a new IP address. Details
of the changes will be reported here and on the automated server
announcements.

2003: The new Breakthrough expansion will be tested on
the server today from 00:01 to 20:00, to assess the performance
of the server. If there are no issues or problems expect to see
Breakthrough rotations once or twice a week for the next
few weeks. It is anticipated that eventually, all Spearhead
sessions will be replaced by Breakthrough.

2003: We are pleased to announce a second Custom Map Test,
scheduled to run for four or five consecutive Saturdays, starting
on Saturday 18 October. For those of you who participated last time
around the format will be the same, i.e. we will test six custom
maps each week and score them. Follow this link
for details of the last test and this link
for the new one. If you would like to nominate a custom map for
inclusion, send the details to admin@online-assault.com.

2003: Please note the new IP address for the server. The address
has changed from 213.221.175.199:29962
to 213.221.175.103:29962.
The reason for the change is that the server has been relocated
from a busy BarrysWorld machine to a quieter one in an attempt
to improve overall performance. Thanks to BarrysWorld for
their support. You will need to update any shortcuts and .cfg files,
as well as Gamespy and All Seeing Eye bookmarks. Apologies
for any inconvenience.
